Algarve Coastline - Portugal

I went to Portugal last month (last month already? time flies...), here's an image of the one beach we visited. Great beach, everything you could want, loads of space, good surf, cliffs, greenery, lots of sand, big tides and a great sunset position.

I'm not a big High Dynamic Range fan, but I shot the image below and gave it a go, I like it for the detail one gets and the vast range of tones, but, at the same time, it really does produce an unrealistic, fake-looking image most times. Having said that, I'm pleased with this...
